Analog ASIC Engineer

Based out of the vibrant area of Camperdown near downtown Syndey and in close collaboration with the University of Sydney you will work on bleeding edge technologies that will help define the future of quantum computing and drive both our internal development and our pioneering clients’ platforms.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, verify, and layout analog and mixed-signal circuits for applications in quantum computing.
- Develop and optimize low-temperature analog circuits, such as amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, in CMOS, SiGe, MMIC, superconducting, and any outside-the-box circuits for solving control and readout challenges for quantum.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Engage in all stages of testing and characterization of ASICs and hardware at cryogenic temperatures, including troubleshooting of design and performance issues.
- Document design processes, test results, and provide technical reports.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in technologies for quantum.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor, Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal ASIC design (2+ years).
- Proficiency in EDA tools for analog circuit design, simulation and layout (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with RF and microwave circuit design.
- Familiarity with any Cryogenic technologies, such as CMOS, SiGe, GaAs, GAN, MMIC and their applications.
- Familiarity with quantum technology platforms, such as spin, superconducting, photonic, neutral atom and ion trap.
- Experience with cryogenic testing and measurement techniques.
- Understanding of semiconductor device physics and low-temperature operation.
- No need for an exotic pet or a dangerous hobby, but tinkering with hardware of any shape and form, FPGAs, embedded, RasPie, Nvidia H200s, broken oscilloscopes, dev boards etc would be fun to discuss.
