Control Systems Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and implement the control infrastructure that enables reliable operation of complex quantum and hybrid hardware. You will work across software, firmware, electronics, and instrumentation to build scalable control and feedback systems.
What you’ll do
- Develop control algorithms, orchestration software, and hardware interfaces for system operation
- Implement closed-loop control, automation, and synchronization across instruments and subsystems
- Collaborate with hardware, embedded, and experimental teams to improve reliability and performance
- Support system bring-up, debugging, and deployment of integrated control stacks
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience with embedded systems, control software, and hardware integration
- Familiarity with instrumentation, automation, feedback systems, and experimental platforms
- Experience working with complex multi-component systems in lab or production settings
Location: Camperdown, Sydney, Australia however we are also open to applicants residing in, or willing to move to, Australia and the US.
