Role/responsibilities
Develop digital ASIC architectures and RTL implementations for control, signal processing, and data movement in advanced quantum-classical platforms. Collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware teams to create scalable, power-efficient digital systems for deployment in demanding environments.
Desired skills
Strong background in design and implementation of ultra-low temperature logic circuits and digital systems optimized for high-performance scientific computing workloads. Experience with embedded systems, control software, and quantum stack integration is highly valued.
Location: Camperdown, Sydney, Australia however applicants living in, or willing and able to relocate to, Australia or the US are welcome to apply.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital RTL and backend design (2+ years).
- Proficiency in EDA tools for digital backend, simulation, and layout (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of quantum computing principles and technologies and quantum error correction.
- Familiarity with cryogenic CMOS technology and its applications in quantum computing.
- Experience with advanced parasitic extraction and back-annotated simulation; Low-power design techniques and flows.
